How Can severe Scrotum Pain Be Treated?

Okay. I am having extreme boring pain just on the scrotum. Not in the testicles but the skin itself. Most days it is bright red and inflamed. The symptoms went away after using a anti bacterial soap such as dial. Two days later I got a shower applied the dial soap and felt uncomfortable burning. Like there was a open wound. Now a day later the buring only arises when running water is applied and soap, but the skin is now very tender to The touch. There are no visible lesions. The skin is now very loose and will not tighten up even when cold. If you move the skin around and feel the follicles that seems to Be where the tenderness is located, but they are not raised and don t look like a pimple. I was using vagsil to help clear up a yeast infection. But no he vagasil severely burns when played on my scrotum. I am at a lost.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The issue sounds to be acute inflammation involving the scrotal skin which can be a bacterial, fungal or viral infection.

Over and above the local antiseptic care and creams, you need a prescription of systemic acting drugs as antifungal, antibacterials to get faster healing. Till that time, Ibuprofen if no history of drug sensitivity.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Purva Patel,
